Dr. Bharat Sangani
Upon a visit to the Gulf Coast of Mississippi, it was surprising to him to find that local advanced cardiac patients, especially those who needed balloon angioplasty, had to travel to either Mobile, Alabama, or New Orleans, Louisiana to receive treatment. With this knowledge, Dr. Sangani researched the idea of bringing an angioplasty program to the Gulf Coast and encountered resistance due to the lack of confidence and unavailability of an experienced cardiac team to perform the angioplasty procedure.
Dr. Sangani decided not to let any obstacles stand in his way and moved to Mississippi to create a team of qualified professionals in order to provide the finest and latest cardiology treatment options to the local community.

In December of 1995 I graduated from University of South Alabama as an Adult Acute Nurse Practitioner (NP), I completed two certifications, Primary care and Adult Acute care. I was the first Acute Care NP in the State of Mississippi and first NP to be given privileges at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport.
As a NP, my first job was in the Emergency room at Memorial Hospital and in 1997 I started in Cardiology with Dr. Sangani. for 17 years. In 2014, I started the “vip clinic” for primary care, the name changed to “The primary care Plus”.
